Start-Up Visa/Investor Program (Permanent Residency Pathway)

Canada’s Start-up Visa/Investor Program targets immigrant entrepreneurs with the skills and potential to build businesses in Canada.

The program is where, the applicant/applicant family would be expected to obtain Permanent Residency within approximately 16-24 months from starting, and potentially 3-year Open Work Permits for family members, and/or Study Authorizations for accompanying children, during the process.

In applying for Permanent Residency through this investor program, the principal applicant will require the following at a minimum:

  • Investment amount of approximately CDN$250k to $400k;
  • Canadian Language Benchmark 5 in listening, reading, writing and speaking (English or French);
  • Approximately CDN$30k as Settlement funds, to support applicant and dependants after arrival to Canada;
